All of the supervisors listed below have experience as International School Counsellors or have International Schools consulting experience.

Cath Mellor. Originally from the UK Cath was previously the School Counsellor at UWC Singapore before moving into private practice.

Sian Jorgensen is a Social Worker and previous International School Counsellor in SE Asia. She offers Supervision to Designated Safeguarding Leads in International Schools.

Aylssa Cowell Has worked as an international school counsellor in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Brunei and Thailand. You can book an appointment with her here.

Online Training

There are a number of online training companies. Some which our members find useful are:

PESI UK: This offers pre-recorded and live counselling and psychotherapy training.

The Mental Health Academy: Offers 460+ courses for a yearly subscription.


Resources

There are a number of websites that can provide resourses for counsellors across Asia. Some which our members find useful are (although please be mindful of additional importation charges):

Play Therapy Supplies: this is a USA based company supplying all manner of play therapy resources including sand-tray figurines.

Dr Karen Triesman: is a British Clinical Psychologist who has designed a range of cards and books aimed at working around relational trauma.

Innovative Resources: Based in Australia they supply a range of therapy cards aimed at students.


Counselling & Support

External therapists and support, our members have found useful are:

Dr Scarlett Mattoli: Dr Scarlett is based in Hong Kong and can provide assessments for ASD and ADHD online (if they are older), supervision and counselling.

7north Therapy: Staffed by international school counsellors, 7north provide a range of online counselling and support services to young people and school staff which also includes a UK registered dietican who can support families with disordered eating, and ARFID.
