About
SEASCN began in 2011 with a Skype call between Ian Moody and Hazel McClure. At the time, both were both Heads of Counselling Departments in large international schools in Singapore and KL respectively. Both regularly faced ethical dilemmas and realized that the answers they sought could often be best found amongst others in the same roles.
The Skype call inspired a conference which immediately became an annual event hosted by volunteer schools around the region on a turn by turn basis. Conferences are basically 48 -72 hour share-athons providing PD specific to our roles and an important opportunity to make professional allies around the region.
Our heartfelt thanks to the schools below who have extended hospitality to our small army of counselors, psychologists and guest speakers over the years.
